arXiv Paper Rethinks Talk-to-Me Detection as Online Task in Egocentric Video

A new arXiv preprint argues that existing talk-to-me (TTM) detection research frames the problem as offline, clip-level recognition, which does not match how egocentric assistants must actually operate. The work repositions TTM detection as an online capability, where a wearable system has to judge in real time whether a person is addressing the camera wearer.
